ARTANKARA is an international contemporary art fair and a platform to strengthen and develop art environment and art market of the region and neighboring countries.
The 7th edition of the fair will take place between March 11-14, 2021 at ATO Congresium. Works of Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Video and Digital Art, Installations and many other forms of artistic expression, the result of a careful selection by the Selection Committee, will be presented at the fair.
ARTANKARA along with gathering a significantly enhanced list of emerging and established galleries, artists, art-lovers and art-collectors from Turkey and abroad, endeavors to re-make Ankara ‘’the capital of art as well’’, as it used to be upon foundation of the Republic.
This year the sub-theme of the fair will be again ’’ART GOES TO WORK’’, which converts the business world and art gathering into significant and important synergy.
Facts and figures of the previous editions of ARTANKARA (2020):
The 6th ARTANKARA International Contemporary Art Fair organized in ATO Congresium in 2020, hosting 125 galleries, museums, universities, initiatives and projects to bring galleries and artists together with art lovers, and to increase artistic and aesthetic awareness through projects and interviews. In the fair, where over 1100 artists were hosted, over 4500 works came together with art lovers. ARTANKARA, which has become a more effective artistic meeting platform every year, has grown by 30 percent despite all the negativities related to the Corona virus experienced this year. The fair, which was visited by 51.400 people last year, was visited by 18.500 people despite all the negativities this year. 25 interviews, 22 events, 4 Contemporary Art Projects and 2 Social responsibility projects were held at the fair where art, artists and works of art were discussed in various dimensions.
